Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Post Ethnic Conflict
What is Conflict Resolution?
Conflict resolution is the process of solving disagreements and conflicts between groups of people to reach a resolution that satisfies all parties. It often involves identifying the root causes to better understand the needs of the people to find a solution that works for everyone.
Research Aim
My research examines the effectiveness of peacebuilding strategies post ethnic conflict. This evaluates how specific conflict resolution methods, ranging from a traditional justice system, mediation through an international organization, to community-based dialogue, best contribute to sustainable peace. By analyzing the successes and limitations of these approaches, this research seeked to identify conditions under which peacebuilding is most effective.
